rndlist — FAQ
A direct, no-frills marketplace for R&D collaboration.
Updated 1 June 2026
The basics
What is rndlist?
rndlist is a marketplace for R&D collaboration. It connects researchers, companies, IP owners, investors, and lab operators who want to work together — without brokers, platform fees, or gatekeepers.
Think of it as Craigslist for the business of science and technology. You post what you’re offering or looking for, and interested parties contact you directly.
Who is rndlist for?
Anyone whose work involves turning research into commercial reality:
- R&D directors and innovation managers
- CTOs, founders, and deep tech entrepreneurs
- Technology transfer offices at universities and research institutions
- Patent and IP attorneys
- Contract research organisations (CROs)
- Deep tech investors and impact funds
- Lab and equipment operators with spare capacity
- Industry open innovation teams
Is it free to use?
Yes. Browsing is free and requires no account. Posting a listing and revealing contact details requires a free email-verified account. Listing is free during early access and we intend to keep it that way for most users.
How does it work?
Browse listings freely without an account. When you find something relevant, verify your email to reveal the poster’s contact details and get in touch directly — no messaging layer, no intermediary.
To post, sign in, choose a category and direction, write your listing, and publish. Listings stay live for 90 days and can be reconfirmed to stay active.
Listing categories — what does offering / seeking mean?
What are the six listing categories?
Every listing belongs to one of six categories, each with two directions — offering or seeking:
| Category | Offering | Seeking |
|---|---|---|
| Pilot Opportunities | Offering a pilot site for a technology to be tested | Seeking a site to run a pilot of your technology |
| Co-Develop Solutions | Partner offering expertise to co-develop with an IP owner | IP owner seeking a development partner |
| License Technologies | Offering a technology for licensing out | Seeking technology to license in |
| Innovation Challenges | Offering expertise or a solution to an open challenge | Posting a challenge and seeking someone to solve it |
| Innovation Funding | Offering funding — grant, equity, or sponsored research | Seeking funding for an R&D project or startup |
| Access Labs & Equipment | Offering lab space or equipment for external use | Seeking access to specific lab facilities or equipment |
What does "offering" vs "seeking" mean?
Offering means you have something and are making it available — a technology, a pilot site, funding, lab capacity, or expertise.
Seeking means you are looking for something — a partner, a licensee, a site, capital, or a solution.
Both directions are equally valid. You can post in both directions at the same time if you have something to offer and something you need.
IP, confidentiality & liability
Who owns the IP in my listing?
You do. Posting on rndlist does not transfer, license, or affect ownership of any intellectual property. rndlist is a discovery and connection platform — all IP terms are negotiated directly between the parties, entirely outside of rndlist.
Should I share confidential information in my listing?
No. Listings are publicly visible to anyone on the internet. Do not include trade secrets, unpublished patent details, proprietary data, formulations, source code, or any information you would not share openly.
A good listing describes what you have and what you are looking for at a high level — enough for the right person to recognise relevance and reach out. The detail belongs in a follow-up conversation under an NDA.
Does rndlist verify listings or users?
We verify email addresses. We do not independently verify the accuracy of listing claims, user credentials, organisational affiliations, or the existence of described technologies or funding.
Users are encouraged to complete their profile (name, organisation, designation, phone) to build trust — this information is visible to other logged-in users on their listings.
Is rndlist liable for deals made through the platform?
No. rndlist is a discovery platform, not a party to any transaction, agreement, or collaboration that results from its use. Any deal, LOI, licence agreement, or partnership you enter into is solely between you and the other party.
We strongly recommend taking independent legal and commercial advice before entering into any agreement. Paragise Private Limited accepts no liability for outcomes arising from connections made on rndlist.
How long do listings stay live?
Listings are active for 90 days. If they aren't reconfirmed in that time they move to archived — still visible, but marked as unconfirmed. You will receive reminders by email to reconfirm. Reconfirming resets the clock.
How do I contact the poster?
Open any listing and click “Show email” or “Show phone.” You need a free verified account to reveal contact details. Once revealed, you contact the poster directly — rndlist has no messaging or negotiation layer.
How do I report spam or a suspicious listing?
Use the “Flag as spam” link at the bottom of any listing, or email us directly at hi@rndlist.com. We review all reports and remove listings that violate our terms. We read every email.
